Folded Paper

I've become rather enamored of three-dimensional paper sculptures as of late. The next opportunity I have to work sculpturally with paper, I'm taking it. Some inspiring examples:

Jessica Walsh/Aishti Minis

The Sagmeister, Inc extraordinaire creates charming paper scenes and captures them with killer photography.

Lim Siang Ching/SBO Infographic

Singapore designer Lim Siang Ching, who crafts under the name Pattern Matters, aims to 'look into the design process and tactile exploration through pattern making'. Her projects are colorful and clever works of art.

Be sure to visit her site (click the image) and check out her moving calendar pieces. They're spectacular.

Paper Donut/Converse and Noeuf Catalogue

The graffiti and paper work of French artist Alexis Facca is stunning. I love how free and experimental it feels despite its top notch execution.

A Common Name/Geode #9 and Geode #2

Paige Smith is the crafty street artist (and graphic designer) behind these rogue geodes appearing all over Los Angeles. The purple one (which has since gone missing) is such a showstopper!

Julia Guther/Telekinesis Album Cover and Miyauchi Yuri Album Cover

Guther's paper work is bold and refined with a playful use of color.
