Things to Do...
...in San Francisco and beyond. A collection of things, functioning as a reminder to self:
Free family passes SF Libraries will check out a free pass to 23 locales, including neighborhood pools, museums, zoos and more.
Walking Tours These are pretty nerdy/touristy, but I love SF oral history. I've gone on tours for the Palace Hotel and Mission murals and would love to join more. Top picks: Golden Gate Park: East End, Dogpatch and Potrero Point, Nob Hill, Victorian San Francisco, City Scapes and Public Spaces.
SF History Podcasts Quick podcasts of a San Franciscan's musings on life in the city. The first podcast discusses "San Francisco recycling", which has nothing to do with blue bins, but rather, the inevitability that anything set on the curb will disappear in 24 hours. Our house can attest to this, as we did a huge garage clean out yesterday and left about 6 large boxes of stuff on our stoop. By Sunday afternoon, almost everything had found loving new homes. Thanks, neighbors.
In-Person Classes Tons of affordable classes, offered all over the city with a good variety of schedules. The winter schedule is here. Maybe some jewelry or sewing classes?
Online Classes Paula Scher's Brand Identity workshop, Sean Adams' Foundations of Graphic Design History, Simon Sinek's How To Present.
