Week 49: Crissy Field Beach

Lina suffered a herniated disk a few weeks ago, so after a regimen of bed rest and treats, she had gained a pound or two (1.4 lbs to be exact) and needed a good excursion. We headed to the beach at Crissy Field to let her run around and do a little exploring.

It was nice to see her acting normally; running around and feigning interest in other pups. She was as afraid of the water as ever, but seemed to thoroughly enjoy herself, free of any signs of pain.

Eric flew his kite and then we enjoyed a very nice long walk along the edge of the Bay, taking in views of the bridge and North Bay in the distance. A particular stand out was walking onto the concrete remains of some structure that allows you to venture into the Bay, beyond the edge of the coast. It functions as a small tide pool, and we found lots of life.
